The “Euphoria” star and her longtime boyfriend, Tom Holland, are engaged, a source confirms to Page Six. The pair first sparked rumors during the 2025 Golden Globes.
Insiders told TMZ that Holland “popped the question between Christmas and New Year’s,” noting that the proposal occurred during “a very intimate setting” at one of Zendaya’s homes.
Meanwhile, another source told the outlet that the actor met with Zendaya’s dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, “months ago” to ask for her hand in marriage because it was important to have his blessing.
Zendaya’s family is said to be very excited and think Holland is a “class act.”
Reps for Holland, 28, and Zendaya, also 28, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Zendaya set tongues wagging Sunday night after she stepped onto the Golden Globes red carpet with a huge sparkler on that finger.
Although she stunned in a strapless, copper-colored custom Louis Vuitton dress, netizens were more focused on the pretty sparkler she was sporting on her left ring finger.
One intrigued fan posted via X on Jan. 5, “a very engagementy ring purposely worn on that finger? ??? ZENDAYA??”
“NOT TO BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE BUT IS ZENDAYA WEARING AN ENGAGEMENT RING??????????????” another excited user wrote.
“Zendaya….the ring mama what’s tea,” a third person asked, while another questioned, “Did Zendaya and Tom get engaged? Either way I love the ring selections for tonight!!”
Holland noticeably did not attend the awards show with his fiancée, despite her being nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture musical or comedy for her role in “Challengers.”
Zendaya and the Marvel actor first met while filming 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” where they played love interests.
Although they sparked romance rumors at the time, they didn’t go public with their relationship until 2021, when they were seen kissing inside a car.
Despite making several public appearances together, the Marvel co-stars have kept their relationship tightly under wraps.
The “Challengers” actress previously explained their decision to do so, telling Elle in 2023, “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.
“It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
Since 2023, they have been the subject of engagement speculation several times.
Zendaya herself was forced to address the rumors after she posted a photo on social media where she wore a ring on her left hand.
“I can’t post anything … I posted [the photo] for my hat, like, not for the ring on my right finger you guys!” she clarified in a since-deleted video. “Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the news?”
